The Aérobie lamp is a hybrid that takes cues from the wind chime. But where the musical decoration is activated by invisible air currents, the detector lamp draws attention to the absence of air movement: A stuffy room that needs to be aired.

The vibrant light of the candle reveals the inside and marks some exterior parts. The intention is not to make lamps but that the light alters the perception of the vase.

The original idea of this project is to make people aware of the moment
of concealing and revealing light. To make it a functional lamp, instead of a switch, light is activated when raised(on) or laid flat(off). Also by creating the side facets, a natural
handle is made which also directs the light when the brick
sits on it’s side.
